Facials, peels and IPL in Winter Park
The part of the menu with no needles in it. It is where most people start, where a lot of them stay, and where the honest answer to your question is quite often the cheapest thing on the list rather than the most expensive.
The five things on this page
- Signature facial · $210
- Seventy five minutes. Cleanse, gentle exfoliation, extractions if you want them, mask and massage. It is maintenance and it is genuinely relaxing, and it will not change your skin on its own.
- Light peel · $190
- A mild acid, thirty minutes, no visible peeling for most people. Brightens and smooths. Safe every four to six weeks.
- Medium peel · $450
- Deeper, and you will flake for three to five days. This is the one that moves pigment and fine lines. Once or twice a year, not monthly.
- Microneedling · $375
- Needles only, no radiofrequency. Texture and acne scarring, two days of pink. The sensible way to find out how you tolerate needling before spending on the RF version.
- IPL photofacial · $425
- Broadband light for brown sun spots and diffuse redness. Spots darken like coffee grounds for a week and then flake away. Two to three sessions for most people.
Which one you actually need
If the problem is brown patches from twenty Florida summers, it is IPL, and a facial will do nothing for it. If the problem is rough texture and visible pores, it is microneedling or a medium peel. If the problem is dullness and congestion, it is a facial and a better routine at home.
Camille and the aesthetician will tell you which of those you are looking at, and if the answer is a $30 change to what you use at home, they will say that too. That happens more often than the price list suggests it should.
The membership, and when not to buy it
$149 a month. One signature facial included, member pricing on everything else at Northlight, no contract, cancel in an email.
It only makes sense if you actually come monthly. A $210 facial for $149 is a real saving twelve times a year. Four times a year it is a loss, and you should pay as you go. Nobody here will chase you to sign up, and the front desk will tell you to skip it if your honest answer is once a season.
Downtime, plainly
- Facial
- None. A little pink for an hour.
- Light peel
- None to speak of. Slight tightness, occasionally a small amount of flaking on day three.
- Medium peel
- Three to five days of visible peeling. Book it for a week when you are not being photographed.
- Microneedling
- Two days of pink and mild sandpaper texture. Makeup at twenty four hours.
- IPL
- Spots go dark and coffee coloured for five to seven days, then lift away. This surprises people who were not warned, so consider yourself warned.
Four months, three sessions, one window.
Same window, same distance, same lens, no filter and no makeup in either frame. One person’s result, and pigment responds differently on every face.

Which one, and whether the membership is worth it.
Which one do I need?
Answer this: is the thing bothering you a colour, a texture, or a feeling of dullness? Colour is IPL. Texture is microneedling or a medium peel. Dullness is a facial and probably a change at home.

Can I have IPL in Florida in summer?
Only on skin that has genuinely been out of the sun. IPL targets pigment, and a tan is pigment, so treating tanned skin risks burning and blotching it.
Most people here do IPL between November and March. Camille will reschedule rather than treat a fresh tan.
Will a peel make me flake in front of people?
A light peel, almost never. A medium peel, yes, for three to five days, and it looks like dry patches around the mouth and nose rather than anything dramatic.
Book the medium one for a quiet week and keep your hands off it while it lifts.
Is the membership worth it?
If you come every month, clearly yes: twelve facials at $149 instead of $210, plus member pricing on everything else.
If you come three or four times a year, no, and you will be told so. There is no contract either way and cancelling takes one email.
Two IPL sessions took years of Florida sun off my cheeks. What I appreciated more was being told to stop after the second one instead of being sold the package of four.
